Color lovers, this one’s for you.
Cult/beauty blogger acclaimed brand Anastasia Beverly Hills has released new Liquid Lipsticks! With hues like cobalt blue and pitch black, these new lipsticks are made especially for the bold — and the Fall season.
It’s so refreshing to see the line’s expansion include shades for everyone. Don’t worry if you’re more subdued — ABH also created cool, earthy tones to match the color trend of Fall 2015.
Paint, a metallic royal blue, is a notice-me color that looks a lot better on than you’d probably imagine. If there’s one brand that can “do” blue lipstick right, it’s ABH. It’s unique, but something about it just works, especially when paired with matte black liquid liner and a strong cheekbone highlight (try this look out — seriously). Is this the kind of color you want to wear when you meet your boyfriend’s parents? — of course not. This is the color you wear out on a Friday night in your favorite LBD and strappy sandals. You’d be surprised at the confidence this daring color can provide.
The same story goes for Midnight, a black. The finish is completely matte and opaque in one coat. If you’re already familiar with the original Liquid Lipsticks, you won’t be surprised at all; the formula of the shade expansions are the same as those. Since black lipstick gives such a strong look, you’ll want to balance it out by adding a touch of glam. Try adding long, fluttery false lashes and winged eyeliner, preferably in a color like forest green or deep teal.
If blue and black are simply too far out of your comfort zone, try Sepia, a cool brown-taupe. This is the shade that everyone is wearing right now, and what better time to rock it than the transition into Fall makeup? Trust Issues, a purple-undertoned berry shade, is also quite appropriate and extremely flattering, especially with a tan!
Anastasia also recently debuted the Shadow Couture World Traveler Palette. It includes 12 shades of rich, gorgeous shadows to couple with your new Liquid Lipsticks! They are soft in texture and blend nicely while sill remaining saturated on the eyes. The 2 most vibrant colors are Azure, a rich cobalt, and Morocco, a warm brown. Pink Champagne is the perfect rose gold that looks especially pretty and more intense when used damp. Fudge is a deep, chocolatey brown that is the most pigmented of all the colors. The palette also includes a double-ended brush. It’s $30, which is such a great value for the amount of product you receive.
