In December 2014, there was one thing on the wish list for a dog named “Mocha.” At the time, the three-and-a-half-year-old pit bull had been homeless for for nearly three years – she had been rescued, but the final piece of the puzzle, a home, seemed to be too elusive to obtain.
Things finally changed for Mocha last month when she was officially adopted. A volunteer with Eleventh Hour Rescue had worked tirelessly to help find Mocha a family, and on Thursday, she emailed the National Dog News Examiner with the good news, “I was the volunteer working with her for 3 years and 7 months. Well, she was adopted a month ago! It’s a happy ending indeed. She celebrated her first Thanksgiving in a home yesterday and now she will wake up Christmas morning to her very own stocking hanging from the fireplace and presents wrapped under her first Christmas tree.” She added, “I am ecstatic and her new mom is wonderful.”
The woman who worked long and hard to find Mocha a family is now utilizing the Facebook following which had been created for Mocha for other dogs who are in need of help. Right now, a handsome dog named “Caesar” is the featured homeless pet of the Facebook page and those who know and love him are hopeful that he will find a home of his own for Christmas.
Caesar is seven years of age, house-trained, crate-trained and affectionate…he does prefer to be the only dog in the household. Please click here to read more about this deserving dog. Caesar is located in northern New Jersey.
