Just one day after Curly was surrendered to the Carson Animal Care Center, he shut down. The eight-year-old Chihuahua and Dachshund mix’s family told shelter personnel they were “too busy.” So the “no time for the family pooch” suffered an emotional breakdown as his heart broke into tiny pieces, and in his lonely kennel just curled up into a defensive little ball and closed his eyes.

He deserves so much better than this; he is wearing his “heart on his paw,” and he’s so depressed. If only his previous owners could see him now? Would they have left him?
