Look at the light in his eyes and the blur that is his non-stop wagging tail. He’s sitting at the door of his kennel waiting, sure that the next person who walks down the aisle will be the one to choose him and take him home. He had a taste of a loving home, and he wants that feeling again. The feeling of being safe and cared for.
Watch his video (linked here). He demonstrates his talents by sitting and super-tail wagging. He’s just adorable!
Abraham is a young dog who was found as a stray by a person who kept him for several days. She learned that he is good with other dogs, but unfortunately she also learned that her dog is not good with Abraham. Her dog continued to instigate fights with Abraham and she was forced to take this sweet young dog to the shelter where he will now be killed. Due to the fact that another dog didn’t like Abraham, he will die.
Now, this loving and adorable dog is looking at his last night on earth unless someone adopts him or a rescue pulls him. Abraham is good with other dogs, he’s sweet and affectionate. He’s heartworm negative. But none of that helps keep him alive if his kennel is needed. If no one comes for Abraham or emails the shelter that they will be taking him tomorrow, he can be killed at anytime after 9:00 am.
Please share Abraham’s story. He’s still practically a puppy. If you can take Abraham, you must email firstname.lastname@example.org by 9:00 am tomorrow morning (Florida time) and copy email@example.com on the email. The subject of the email should be: Do Not Euth Abraham #A29491801. In the body of the email, repeat the information about Abraham (name and ID number) and include your contact information. He must be picked up by 3:00 pm tomorrow. Please do not email about Abraham unless you are serious and will be taking him tomorrow.
There is more information about adopting Abraham on his Facebook thread. Abraham is ID# A29491801. He is located at the Hillsborough County Pet Resource Center, 440 N. Falkenburg Road, Tampa, FL 33619. The phone number is (813) 744-5660. The shelter is open every day from 10:00 am to 7:00 pm.
