This event is supporting two great organizations to help provide some special kids with new clean underwear of their own; Share the Spirit Foundation and Children’s Hospital Colorado.
Underwearness is a unique organization and supports kids in a manner unlike any other. If you think about it; when a natural disaster, family crisis; like a fire in their home, living conditions or due to financial reasons, the last thing anyone thinks of is underwear. I know it sounds funny but it really isn’t. When an incident happens to a family or community there are many organizations on the scene with some shoes and outerwear, e.g., shirts, pants coats, to help individuals and families out, but underwear is not thought of, especially for the kids.
Imagine the loss of dignity a child has when they have to wear the same pair of underwear for days, weeks or even months at a time, without being washed or washed very often. What about not having any at all. Think of the hygiene problems.
