The 1byone magic plasma wireless Bluetooth speaker is a Bluetooth speaker that is quite unique and very ostentatious. It is basically a two-in-one device as it comprises of an electrostatic plasma lighting ball and subwoofer speakers. In other words, it provides two terrific things and combines them both together to bring a different and sort of retro-like experience.
Design & Functionality:
The Bluetooth speaker is small and lightweight. The dimensions of it are the following: 4.2 x 4.2 x 8.4 inches. It weighs 1 pound. So, this Bluetooth speaker is relatively portable and can be carried on-the-go without much hassle. The Bluetooth speaker in terms of design comprises of a sphere on the top and a bottom that is cylinder-like. The Bluetooth speaker comes in two different colors. Those colors are red and blue. On the front of the Bluetooth speaker there is a speaker and four buttons. These four buttons are the following: mode switch, play/pause, previous/volume down, and next/volume up. On the back of the Bluetooth speaker there is a micro USB port to connect and power on the Bluetooth speaker, a 3.5mm AUX port to connect non-Bluetooth devices, a TF card slot, and last, a slide switch (OFF, ON, and, M) that is used to turn the Bluetooth speaker on/off and enable a certain feature or function. Also on the back, there is a covered speaker. The electrostatic plasma ball emits pink-colored beams of light. These pink-colored beams of light can be controlled and dispersed in any direction by simply putting your finger or hand on the ball, so long as there is some form of contact between you and the ball. Plus, the pink-colored beams of light can be set to be constantly changing and flickering in accordance to the music rhythm. This is done by switching the Bluetooth speaker to the “ON” mode/position on the back of the Bluetooth speaker. Last, the Bluetooth speaker utilizes and has been integrated with Bluetooth 2.1 and EDR (Enhanced Data Rate) technology.
The Bluetooth speaker performed great overall, despite a few shortcomings. The Bluetooth speaker in terms of audio quality is good and loud. The audio quality is by no means special, which is to be expected since its main focus is to provide decent audio quality with great flare, that being the electrostatic plasma ball. The electrostatic plasma ball functioned perfectly with the exception of one slight problem. The “M” functionality, when switched to, will keep the electrostatic plasma ball constantly emitting beams of light regardless of whether or not music is playing. This worked perfectly as the problem lies within the “ON” functionality. The “ON” functionality, when switched to, is supposed to have the electrostatic plasma ball emitting beams of light in accordance to the music rhythm in that the light flickers and changes with the rhythm of the music. The electrostatic plasma ball when in this mode/position, will not emit the pink colored beams of light unless the volume is set very high. Having the volume set very high causes the audio to become distorted and unbearable to listen to. So, this defeats the purpose of having and utilizing such a function due to this problem. The Bluetooth functionality was excellent. Establishing a connection between the Bluetooth speaker and a device was simple and efficient. The Bluetooth connection was strong and stable since there were no problems or issues with it. There was a problem or issue with the audio though. The Bluetooth speaker was emitting a buzzing sound whenever a device was connected to it either via the AUX port or Bluetooth connection and when music was playing. The buzzing sound would emit throughout the duration of the music being played, however, when the music was paused, the buzzing sound would cease.
The 1byone magic plasma wireless Bluetooth speaker is a Bluetooth speaker that has some fantastic features and functions that help create this unique and fun user experience, but at the same time, it has some issues of its own that can take away from the user experience. In other words, this Bluetooth speaker is fun and exciting to utilize if you can overlook some of its flaws or issues. For example, the buzzing sound may be annoying to some even though the music tends to over mask the buzzing sound anyways. Also, the music rhythm function in which the light flashes and changes in accordance to the music rhythm is somewhat impractical. The Bluetooth connectivity and the electrostatic plasma ball both worked excellently. Establishing a connection between the Bluetooth speaker and a device was effortless and the connection seemed pretty stable. The electrostatic plasma ball effectively emitted pink beams of light like it was supposed to do. So, this Bluetooth speaker would be perfect for those seeking a Bluetooth speaker that not only functions as a Bluetooth speaker, but also as an electrostatic plasma ball, that can play music and emit beams of light at the same time.
