Brad Meltzer is a The New York Times bestselling author of political thrillers as well as a non-fiction writer, television show creator and comic book author. Beecher White is back in “The President’s Shadow” and it all begins with a severed arm found buried in the White House Rose Garden with a threatening message written in its closed fist. Beecher works with the National Archives in Washington, D.C. and his job is to watch over the government’s most important documents.
Only a select few are aware of his membership in the Culper Ring, a 200 year old secret society founded by George Washington to protect the Presidency. The White House is in a panic and brings in Beecher to investigate the alarming discovery of the arm.
